Get It Done Right The First Time

Professionally Installed Solar Panel System

When it comes to your home you deserve nothing but the best. Our residential solar installations are always engineered and designed specifically for your home. Since the heating and cooling of your home accounts for the largest portion of energy usage, we can design and install your HVAC and solar systems to work in harmony with each other. By utilizing top tier solar panel products, we can help you save money and give you the best return on your investment possible. As always, we are 100% committed to providing a great customer experience throughout the entire process, so you’ll love working with us.

What Makes Us Different

Since your home's heating and cooling accounts for the largest portion of home energy usage, designing your solar system with these things in mind goes a long way towards maximizing efficiency. By properly designing a solar system to handle your heating and cooling demand, we can maximize the self produced energy consumed which results in less money spent on energy bills. The more of your own energy you can consume instead of buying from a utility the more money you will save. By installing electric heat pumps to reduce gas usage you can offset high gas prices and control your own energy supply. With dual fuel systems you can have complete energy freedom to choose between gas or electric depending on what is the most cost effective option at that time. We can help you maximize every watt produced by your own solar panels and maximize profit on on your investment in a solar panel system!

Don’t Get Burned

You Need A Service Partner Not A Pushy Salesperson

As you may have discovered in your research to go solar there are many different companies to choose from. It’s important to understand that many of the companies you can find are not actually solar installers but just sales organizations. Most of these sales organizations are national solar companies that boast a large number of jobs sold but understand these companies are built on sales alone and after you sign up they will contract out your installation and move on to the next homeowner as fast as they can.

One of the biggest complaints reported when choosing a large national solar company is the slow timeline of the project, and the post-installation support. Repairing a solar system is not profitable, so in many cases, national companies refuse to travel to troubleshoot and repair systems they installed regardless of what the salesperson promised. Choosing a local solar company like us ensures you will be able to get the support and service you deserve after making a sizable investment in your home.

Key Components Of A Solar Panel System

Solar Panels

Solar panels are the main component of a solar system and are responsible for generating electricity from sunlight. There are many types of panels available in the residential and commercial market. A solar panel ranges in type, size, color and wattage. Most residential panels are now black with black anodized aluminum frames designed to be aesthetically pleasing for your home’s roof.

Three main performance measures used to compare solar panels

  1. Peak output wattage – This is how a panel is rated from the factory in wattage

  2. Efficiency – This is a measure of how well the panel absorbs sunlight

  3. Degradation – This measures the drop in a panel performance each year

Solar Inverters

An Inverter is the device that inverts the DC electricity produced by the solar panel(s) into usable AC electricity for your home. There are several different types of inverters available. The two main types of inverters are String inverters and Micro inverters.

Solar Microinverters

Microinverters

Microinverters are small, modular inverters that are mounted behind each solar panel and independently invert the energy production of each panel so that the reduced production of one panel does not affect the output of an entire system. For this reason Micro inverters are our technology of choice for residential projects.

String Inverters

Commonly thought of as a standard option, a string inverter is a simplistic central inverter that takes the combined DC power from a string of panels and inverts it to AC electricity. String inverters work best for solar panel systems that receive consistent sunlight throughout the day or owners looking for lower cost solar systems

Enphase Solar Energy Production and Monitor

Solar Monitoring Systems

A solar monitoring system allows you to view real-time and historical energy production data from your system. It is very important that your system includes a monitoring system to ensure that your system is producing energy normally. All of solar systems come with monitoring as a standard feature which includes both desktop and mobile app access so you can view your system’s performance from virtually anywhere at any time.

Solar Mounting Racking Systems

A racking system is the structure that your solar panels will be mounted to. There are many types of mounting systems such as roof mount, ground mount, or ballast mount systems. The most commonly used are the roof mount and ground mount options.

Solar Roof Mounts

Roof Mount Rail System

A racking system that consists of feet mounted on roof and a series of rails so support the array of solar panels. This type of system works on all roof types, such as shingle, corrugated metal, standing seam metal, and tile roofs. The benefits of roof mount are most economical option, no additional space taken up by panels in your yard, and no additional labor to install a frame.

Ground Mount Rail System

A racking system that consists of rows of posts and a series of rails so support the array of solar panels. The benefits to ground mount are easier serviceability, no holes in the roof. and more flexibility in location.

The Solar Installation Process

The actual installation of a solar panel system typically takes only a day or two however a lot more than just the installation goes into the project. It all starts with a free design and consultation from us. Once a system is designed an installation agreement is signed. While your engineering is being completed we will work with your utility company on your interconnection application and your local municipality on your permit if needed. Once your interconnection application and your permit are approved we prepare your materials and schedule your installation. After installation there will be various inspections which can take  up to a few weeks by your utility provider and your local municipality. After successfully passing these inspections your system can be turned on and you will then enjoy all the benefits of your new solar panel system. It may seem like a lot but when you go solar with Seiders we take care of it all and focus on making the process as enjoyable and simple as possible for you.
